I hate money like you are a human being living on this planet with feelings and needs that must be fulfilled in order to live but if you don’t have enough green pieces of paper then you cannot afford things like food and shelter and proper medication not to mention being unable to travel and experience the world or go to concerts or buy books and coffee like I don’t understand countries go to war and people die because of these pieces of paper

“Into every generation a slayer is born: one girl in all the world, a chosen one. She alone will wield the strength and skill to fight the vampires, demons and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer.”

Also, I feel like everyone in the Trek fandom already knows this, but can we just give a standing ovation to the reboot!Trek cast, please?

Seriously, these guys are amazing. Think of what they have to do - they’re given these incredibly iconic roles in a series with a lot of history, roles that are so imbued in pop culture that even people who have never seen Star Trek know who these people are. They’re entrusted with carrying on a legacy, and at the same time making their own mark on it and making it their own. Each cast member - Chris, Zach, Zoe, Karl, Anton, John, Simon, all of them - has to walk this incredibly delicate line between paying homage to their predecessors, while at the same time inhabiting these roles in their own unique way and making them their own. It’s not an easy balance to strike, at all, and yet every single cast member brings their A-game to the table. Honestly, their performances are excellent callbacks to their TOS counterparts, but they’re also fresh and new and something that each of them have made their own, and they deserve all the praise for doing that.

Say what you want about reboot, guys, but a big part of why it’s so deliciously good, and why I love it so much, is because we have a cast that cares and understands so damn much.

hey remember that time when spock didn’t even bother hiding his grief and rage when jim died?

or that time he hunted khan down with intention of killing him because he wanted vengeance for jim’s death despite being a total pacifist who wholeheartedly believed in the idea that every being deserved a fair trial?

or that time that spock called jim by his name for the very first time after standing around in his hospital room watching jim sleep for god knows how long?

Spock: *insert sass here*

McCoy: *insert more sass here*

Kirk: *goes and does the thing*

Spock and McCoy: *still sassin around*

Chekov: *explains how sass was invented in Russia*

Sulu: *sass engaged at warp speed*

Scotty: THE SHIP CAN’T TAKE ANYMORE SASS CAPTAIN.
